Electrical Courses for Experienced Tradespeople

In addition to our highly popular career change courses, we also offer a number of courses for experience electrical installers. These programmes are ideal for refreshing your qualifications or further expanding your skillset.

Earn professional electrical qualifications

Our electrical training courses will quickly get you to grips with everything you need to know about being an electrician. You’ll be taught all about rewiring houses, installing light and power circuits, and other domestic electrical installation tasks. Your course will also cover the essential theory needed to become fully qualified, particularly the 17th Edition wiring regulations. Portable Appliance Testing (or PAT testing as it’s also known) is just one other area you could choose to study. To find out more about our electrical training courses, please get in touch – we will help you to select the right course for your requirements!

By achieving the relevant industry qualifications, you’ll be able to join a Competent Persons Scheme and undertake any work in a domestic environment without the need to inform the Local Building Authorities. The recent changes mean you will also be able to sign off other electricians’ work if they are Part P qualified. For more information on what this means for you, contact our Course Advice team today and ask about our electrical training courses.

Be your own boss as a self-employed electrician

Gaining your electrician qualifications means gaining a skill for life, and thanks to the consistently high demand for skilled electricians in the UK, you’re unlikely to ever find yourself short of work. After completing an electrical training programme with the Electrician Academy, you won’t just be ready to make it as an electrician – you’ll also be able to become self-employed and open your own electrician business. You’ll be your own boss, choosing the times you work on what’s considered one of happiest, satisfying and most rewarding jobs out there.
